Museum Boijmans van Beuningen

Last wednesday, in company of my mom, I went to Rotterdam. This time not to go shopping, but to visit another museum.

To me, it was a long time ago since I went to a museum. So, I thought it was time to visit one again. ‘Museum Boijmans van Beuningen’ it is.  This is a museum which I wanted to visit for a really long time, so deciding which museum we should visit wasn’t a hard question.

When I saw that the entrance was for free for everyone under 18, I became happier, It’s such an awesome thing visiting museums for free. After we got our tickets, we went inside the museum immediately.

‘Museum Boijmans van Beuningen’ is a museum of visual arts, but you can look at some paintings as well. These are paintings straight outta the 15th till the 18th century. I thought these paintings were less interesting than the other artworks, but that doesn’t make the museum a bad one. I really enjoyed my day!

When we were halfway through the museum, it was time for coffee. I mean: coffee is always a good idea, right? I chose a delicious cappucino while my mom was enjoying her latte machiatto.

It was such a sweet and inspirational day.Yea, I’m recommending you guys to visit this museum if you like to get more inspiration. Or if you just want to clear your mind.

After walking three (!!!) hours through ‘Museum Boijmans van Beuningen’ we got really hungry. It was lunch time as well, so we decided to have some food. I knew there was a nice kind of market at ‘Kop van Zuid’, so we drove to that place after our visit at the museum. This market is called ‘Fenix Food Factory’. It’s just like a fresh market where you can buy anything you like. I chose for a delicious grilled chorizo/cheese sandwich and my mom chose for a slice of banana bread. Yummy!
